Covid negative certificate mandatory for those coming from six countries starting January

From January 1, the central government has made the Covid RTPCR negative certificate mandatory for travelers entering India from six countries. The Covid negative certificate has been made mandatory for those coming to India from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Thailand. This was informed by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavya.

Passengers from these countries will have to upload their test reports on the government’s Air Suvidha portal before departure, the Union health minister said on Twitter.

The action comes amid increasing cases of Covid in China and East Asian countries.
