Director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan has taken social media space to recount his bad experiences, when he went to Covid OP. The ace director, who was suffering from fever for the past some days, decided to head to the Covid OP of General Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, an experience that formed the basis for his social media post.
He said that he had intermittent fever, which accompanied with body pain, fatigue and minor headaches. Taking into account the present condition, he called ‘Disha’ helpline number. They inquired basic questions such as his travel history, followed which he was connected to a doctor, who prescribed him a medicine for viral fever. However, it was when he was directed by the ‘Disha’ to perform Covid test that his real test began.
As was recounted by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, he had to wait along with around 35 people, outside the hospital. According to him, doctors took around half an hour from each patient to gather the information. However, in spite of wearing face masks, several people had sneezed and spit around the corner. Though the director had waited there till 10 pm, still unable to consult the doctor; he was then asked to come back on Monday. Stating that he generally had a very good impression on the way Kerala handles Covid, the real life experience presented a different version of reality.
