A new Covid care center has started operating in Delhi. The new Covid 19 treatment center happened to be the largest covid care center in the country, with a capacity to accommodate 10,000 patients. Built at Radha Somi Satsang Bias Campus in Chhatarpur, South Delhi, the temporary hospital was built within a period of 10 days.
With 1,700 feet length and 700 feet width, the center has 200 sections, which can accommodate 50 beds each. Completely air conditioned, the hospital wouldn’t allow the relatives of the patients to enter the premise. The various wards would be named after the names of the martyred soldiers in the Galvan Valley, as was decided by the Defense Research and Development Organization.
The temporary hospital would be under the control of the South Delhi district administration, and completed the construction in cooperation with the Union Home Ministry. Covid patients in Delhi will now be admitted to the center through the district monitoring officers. The intended users of the temporary hospital, are those who are not in a serious condition, or those who doesn’t show any symptoms. The Covid care center would be functioning in association with the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital and Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital.
