From now onwards, people who come to Kerala from outside, would have to follow strict home quarantine. The government quarantine will be made available for only those who lack the options. Those who come from outside of the state, would now have to remain in home quarantine for 14 days. Earlier, people who come from overseas, had to remain in government quarantine for the first 7 days, followed which people have to remain home quarantine for the completion of the 14 days’ mandatory quarantine period.
The facilities in homes would be inspected by a committee at the ward level. Idukki district collector has issued the order, thereby becoming the first district in the state to have implemented the order.
