Community Spread: Thrissur to go lockdown?

In the event of an increase in the number of positive Covid cases in Kerala, quite a worrying report has hit the media spaces. Going in line with the reports, Thrissur district is on the verge of reporting a community spread. The new report came on the wake of an increased number of positive cases through transmission. Last day itself, the state has marked more than 10 cases through transmission.

Thrissur MP TN Prathapan asserted the same. He opined that the district might have to go lockdown, in order to control the situation from getting worsen. The Thrissur Corporation has been partially closed, so are several villages, and hospitals. However, it has come as a shocker, as people, who haven’t had contact with the public, too caught the disease. The incident of Engandiyur native Kumaran (84) succumbing to death, was one such an incident.

Another important update from the district is that a warehouse in Kuriyathara has become a headache for the officials, as some of the workers have turned positive. A large quantity of food products have been shipped from the warehouse. A special meeting will be convened under Minister AC Moideen.
