CBSE becomes Class XII assessment criteria; 30:30:40 formula will be adopted

CBSE Class XII has become the standard of assessment. The Attorney General explained to the Supreme Court that the Class XII assessment would take into account the performance of the children in Classes X, XI and XII.

The CBSE informed the apex court that after the cancellation of the Class XII examination, the students’ assessment will be treated as the sum of the examination results in Classes 10, 11 and 12. Attorney General K.K. Venugopal informed the Supreme Court about this. The results of the annual examination of 10th and 11th classes and the pre-board examination of 12th class will be taken and the final result will be announced. This will be done in the ratio of 30:30:40. Judgment in the petition will be pronounced today.

Students in Classes 10 and 11 will be given 30% weightage for the annual examination and 40% weightage will be given for the Class XII Pre-Board Examination. Take the average of three with more marks in five major subjects. The marks of the theory examinations are thus determined. Schools are required to submit marks for practical examinations.

The attorney general told the court that a committee would be formed for 1,000 schools to monitor the results. There is a tendency for some schools to give high marks in the practical examination and some to give low marks. This committee is formed to ensure that this does not affect the outcome. It is hoped that these will be implemented and the results will be published before July 31, Venugopal informed.
