Kerala has registered a total of 962 new Covid positive cases. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 815. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 26,853, while the state’s total active cases have reached 11,484. A total of 15,282 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 55 are from overseas, while 85 came from other states.
The state has registered 801 cases through transmission in the past 24 hours. Out of those who caught the disease through transmission, the sources of 40 are yet to be traced down. Incidentally, the state has also recorded 2more Covid death cases, taking the tally to 84. Cletus (68) from Thiruvananthapuram, and Sasidharan (52) from Alappuzha have succumbed to death.

Right now, 1,43,251 people are under observation, out of which a total of 10,779 are in hospital. Today, a total of 1,115 people have been admitted to hospitals. During the last 24 hours, Kerala has tested a total of 19,343 samples. Till date, Kerala has tested a total of 4,00,029 routine samples. The results of 3,926 test results are yet to come. The state has a total of 506 hotspots right now.
