Yet another Covid death has been reported in Kerala. Nafisa, aged 74, has succumbed to death last night. She hails from Uppala Hidayath Nagar, Kasargod. She was undergoing a treatment at Pariyaram Medical College. With this, the total number of Covid deaths in the state has risen to 39.
Last day, during the press meet, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan said that community spread has been taken place in Thiruvananthapuram. It was the first instance in the country, when a government has acknowledged the happening of community spread. Despite the number of cases have shot up exponentially, there hasn’t been an official confirmation made at the government level in India. While the CM was mainly referring to the situation of the state capital, he underlined the fact that several clusters have been on a rise across the state, which is a dangerous sign.
