After Samsung W2018, Gionee to launch a flip phone

Samsung announcing W2018 last week, attained a global interest, with the tech giant all set to reintroduce flip phones to the world of smartphones. Well, aiming to catch the early bus, Gionee too is in the workshop of developing a flip phone. Spotted on a Chinese e commerce website, Gionee W919, is the successor to the company’s Gionee W909, which got launched last year.

Like Gionee M7, this smartphone too is rumoured having a premium coating, while it has also got a rear mounted fingerprint sensor as well. Sporting a 4.2 inch display (1280x720P), Gionee Gionee W919 has got 2.5GHz octa core processor mated with that of a 6GB RAM; the internal storage capacity of the device is 128GB. Running on Android 7.0 Nougat, Gionee W919 is said to have a 3000mAh battery powering it. It also features a primary/secondary camera facility having 8MP/5MP sensors.
