Malayalam actor Dileep is the latest celebrity to receive the Golden Visa from United Arab Emirates. The Golden Visa issued by the Government of Dubai is valid for ten years.
Earlier, Mammootty and Mohanlal got the visa in August 2021. Several other actors including Pranav Mohanlal, Dulquer Salman, Prithviraj, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Suraj Venjaramoodu, singer K S Chitra, actors Meena, Shweta Menon, Meera Jasmine, Nyla Usha and Mithun Ramesh had also received the Golden Visa.
The Golden Visa is issued by the UAE Government as a mark of respect to those who have demonstrated competence in various fields. It has a tenure of ten years. The Golden Visa, a long-stay visa, was introduced by the UAE government in 2019.
Holders of Golden Visas can live and work in the country without the assistance of a sponsor. This visa will be automatically renewed after 10 years.
