Malappuram: The court sentenced the father who molested his daughters to 123 years in prison. Mancheri fast track special court passed the sentence.
The defendant molested his own children aged eleven and twelve years. Apart from imprisonment, the court also awarded a fine of Rs 8.85 lakh to the accused.
Failure to pay the fine will result in one year imprisonment. The court has also ordered the children to pay Rs 8.85 lakh as fines in two cases.
The court directed the District Legal Service Authority to provide adequate compensation to the children.
The judgment came in a case registered in 2022.
The incident in question took place during 2021-22. The father, who was constantly abusing his 12-year-old daughter, was also sexually assaulting his 11-year-old daughter.
The information about the harassment came out when the girl told this to her mother. Then Edavanna police arrested the father.
