1310 Covid cases reported in Kerala, 864 recovered

COVID-19 has been confirmed for 1310 more people in the state. This is a combination of yesterday’s 425 and today’s 885. Due to some technical reasons, the results could only be reported till noon yesterday. The rest were results from Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, and Kasaragod districts. In addition, 320 in Thiruvananthapuram district, 132 in Ernakulam district, 130 in Pathanamthitta district, 124 in Wayanad district, 89 in Kottayam district, 84 in Kozhikode district, 83 in Palakkad district, 75 in Malappuram district, 60 in Thrissur district, and 59 in Idukki district. The disease was confirmed in 53 people in Kollam district, 52 in Kasaragod district, 35 in Alappuzha district, and 14 in Kannur district today.

Of those diagnosed today, 48 came from foreign countries and 54 from other states. 1,162 people were infected through contact. The contact source of 36 of them is not clear. 311 in Thiruvananthapuram district, 127 in Pathanamthitta district, 124 in Wayanad district, 109 in Ernakulam district, 85 in Kottayam district, 75 in Palakkad district, 65 in Malappuram district, 63 in Malappuram district, and 48 each in Thrissur and Kasaragod districts. The disease affected 44 people, 30 in Idukki district, 29 in Alappuzha district, and 4 in Kannur district.

Twenty health workers were also affected. Eight patients from Thiruvananthapuram district, five from Kannur district, three from Kozhikode district, one each from Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Malappuram, and Thrissur districts were diagnosed with the disease.

The test results of 864 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. 129 persons from Kasaragod district, 114 persons from Thiruvananthapuram district, 111 persons from Palakkad district, 94 persons from Kollam district, 75 persons from Kozhikode district, 66 persons from Ernakulam district, 65 persons from Kottayam district, 45 persons from Idukki district, and 45 persons from Pathanamthitta district. The results of 44 persons from Kannur district, 41 persons from Kannur district, 27 persons from Thrissur district, 25 persons from Alappuzha district, 19 persons from Wayanad district, and 9 persons from Malappuram district were negative today. With this 10,495 persons have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 13,027 have so far been freed from Kovid.
