Dispute in Uttarakhand Assembly over the color of the Ram Lalla idol installed in the Ayodhya Ram Temple. There was a high criticism in the assembly that Ram Lalla's color was blackened. Adesh Singh Chauhan, Congress MLA from Jaspur, started the controversy.
BJP members were asked how come Ram Lalla's complexion is black. According to Hindu scriptures, Rama is the color of dusk. But you blackened the Ram Lalla idol installed in the Ayodhya temple, Chauhan said.
During the debate on the Uniform Civil Code Bill on Wednesday, the debate over Ram Lalla's color started in the Assembly.
Later, the ruling party protested against the Congress. The ruling party demanded an end to insulting remarks against Ram Lalla.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Premchand Aggarwal also said, “Let's talk about the Single Civil Code Bill.” He added that it was the Congress members who denied all the bones of Raman.
At the same time, Jai Shri Ram calls were also raised in the House after the dispute escalated.
