Yellow Alert in five districts in Kerala, Heavy rains with thunderstorms possible: Thunderstorms are likely to continue over the next five days in the state, the Meteorological department said. On April 28, the Central Meteorological Department announced a Yellow Alert in Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram and in Wayanad on May 29 and May 2. And heavy showers is expected in districts from Thiruvananthapuram to Wayanad over the next 3 hours.
Strong rainfall is forecast for 64.5mm to 115.5mm in 24 hours in isolated areas. The Met Department has forecast thunderstorms and strong winds in some parts of the state from April 28 to May 2.
