Xiaomi launched two apps in India – Mi Music and Mi Video

During the Mi Pop event held in Mumbai, Xiaomi has launched two apps before the Indian market. The Mi Music and Mi Video apps come with partnerships made with some leading companies. The Mi Music app has partnered with Hungama India, and would provide music service using the latter’s content. With this Mi Music would start offering over 10 million free tracks to the consumers. In an attempt to build the content ecosystem inside MIUI with Mi Music, the initiative of Xiaomi, would also let users to integrate local music stored on the device. As was informed by the company, users of Mi and Redmi, can download music offline with Hungama Pro package within Mi Music. For this, users would have to pay an annual fee of INR 899.

On the other hand, the Mi Video app will offer over 5 lakh hours of content across 15 Indian languages. Supporting 12 popular video formats in its platform, Mi Video has partnered with Sony Liv, Voot, Hungama Play, Sun Nxt, Alt Balaji, TVF and Flickstree. Supporting one – tap to cast feature, the Mi Video app would be made available by the second week of May.
