Windows Malware Protection Engine bug: Microsoft released a new fix

Microsoft, in an attempt to fix the security flaw found in Windows Malware Protection Engine, has released a security patch. The bug, which was discovered by UK’s National Cyber Security Centre, is capable of exploiting the memory corruption errors in the malware scanning tool. By this way, it will end up in your system being hacked. As was reported by Microsoft, the issue starts when the Malware Protection Engine starts scanning a downloaded file.

This flaw seamlessly affects all users, and Microsoft recommends everyone to install the new security patch as soon as possible.
