WCC blasts against AMMA

The Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) members have come forward with some marked comments against the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). While convening a press meet at Kochi, WCC members lashed out AMMA over the issue of protecting actor Dileep from all the accusations raised against him over the actress abduction case. WCC members also questioned the attitude of AMMA in handling the issue. Revathy, Parvathy, Padmapriya, Rima Kallingal, Remya Nambeesan, Anjali Menon, Beena Paul, Deedi Damodaran, Sajitha Madathil and Archana Padmini represented WCC, during the press meet.

The press meet saw the actresses coming boldly against the stance of AMMA and they maintained that they would strengthen their protest against AMMA from here onwards. While many shared their experience of coming across bad experiences, actress Archana Padmini’s stance was the revelation. The actress maintained that she had faced improper behavior from the production executive of Mammootty starred movie ‘Pullikkaran Staraa’. Though she had complained to B Unnikrishnan, she maintained that her complaint wasn’t well received by the FEFKA general secretary. The meeting also saw WCC members heavily criticizing AMMA President  Mohanlal for not taking a stern decision in the issue.
