Walmart, while filing with a US regulator, maintained that it would launch the IPO for Flipkart within four years from now. The IPO would be done with the same valuation, at which Walmart has bought Flipkart. However, for the deal to become materialized, it would need to pass the test before India’s anti – trust regulator.
Earlier, it was in this week, which Walmart bought as many as 77 percent shares of Flipkart, by paying $16 Billion. The deal was also the largest ever acquisition made by Walmart. The deal saw, Walmart appointing five directors, while discussions are underway regarding the appointment of a sixth member.
