Based on the incident of Attappadi’s ‘Madhu’, ‘Aadhivaasi’ new poster was unveiled by poet and Hollywood director Dr. Sohan Roy through his Facebook page on Monday. The film comes with a tagline, ‘The Black Death’.
Actor Appani Sarath will essay the role of Madhu, the tribal youth from Palakkad’s Attapadi district who fell prey to mob lynching in 2018.
The film is gearing up for release amid allegations by relatives that there is an attempt to sabotage Madhu’s murder case. Written and directed by Vijeesh Mani, the film is produced by Sohan Roy under the banner of ARIES Group.
The film also stars Chandran Mari, Viyan, Murukesh Bhoothuvazhi, Muthumani, Rajesh B, Prakash Vadikal, Roji P Kurian, Vadikayamma, Sreekutty, Amritha, Master Manikandan and Baby Devika.
B Lenin is the editor. P Murugeswaran is the cinematographer. Vijeesh Mani has directed movies like Vishwaguru, Puzhayamma, Netaji and Namo. The second poster was based on the most talked about selfie taken during Madhu’s murder.
All the three posters that was released have been well-received by the public, including on social media. As it is a movie about hunger, the audience acceptance has doubled.
