Released through the official page of Amazon Prime Video India, it took less than 7 hours for the trailer to clock the 1 million mark. The movie, which tells the life of the mathematical genius Shakuntala Devi, features Vidya Balan in the titular role. Shakuntala Devi, who is popularly known as the Human Computer, is one of the most celebrated figures that India has produced in the previous century. While portraying as the lady, whose brain outmatched those of computers, Vidya Balan’s appearance in the film has earned rave reviews from the movie buffs in the country.
Became enormously popular with her mathematical skills, Shakuntala Devi, at the age of 5 was able to solve the mathematical questions that can be answered by 18 year old ones. Later, she became famous for her lightning calculations. Vidya Balan, while commenting on the role, said that she was happy to play Shakuntala Devi, specifically because she was a person who had been able to reach the pinnacle of success on her own. Directed by Anu Menon, the film is being produced by Vikram Malhotra. The film is all set to release on July 31 via Amazon Prime.
