‘Varthamanam’ is all about contemporary issues, says Parvathy

Parvathy Thiruvoth – Roshan Mathew starrer Varthamanam hit theatres couple of days ago and is open to positive reviews. As Varthamanam is getting more and space among the lovers of serious movies, Parvathy has come up by stating that the movie has got its share of politics in it. While commenting on the film, Parvathy maintained that her character, ‘Faiza Sufiya’ is someone, with whom she can relate to. The character in the movie is set against the backdrop of a strong academic background.

One of the most celebrated young actresses of our times, Parvathy stated that Varthamanam mainly deals with the various situations that ’Faiza Sufiya’ encounters, when her academic knowledge encounters with the societal issues. Parvathy rightly pointed out that the director of the movie, Sidharth Siva – a JNU product – is someone who knows how the power equations in Delhi campuses.
