Vande Bharat Mission brought back 5,80,000 people back to India; informs MEA

Anurag Srivastava, the official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that the phase 4 of the Vande Bharat Mission was underway. As was informed by him, in the phase 4, a total of 637 international flights have been scheduled. These 637 flights would serve 29 airports in India. He also informed that as on 8th July, 2020, a total of 5,80,000 people have returned back to India under the mission. It must be mentioned here that, the MEA statistics show that, a total of 6,61,352 persons have registered their requests under Vande Bharat Mission, which started from 7th May, 2020.

Started from July 4th, the fourth phase of Vande Bharat Mission, will come to an end by 11th July. While the first flight was scheduled to Australia, the last flight under Vande Bharat Mission, is to Vietnam.
