In their attempts to strengthen the security features, UIDAI will soon be going to roll out the facial recognition feature. The inclusion of facial recognition will ensure that Aadhaar verification process would be even more secure in nature. As was informed by UIDAI, the feature might get introduced by July. The inclusion is aimed at making the process of authentication convenient for those who have issues with fingerprint/iris scanning.
While we don’t have much information about the model, it is widely been reported that it would be a sporty model – targeting youngsters. Since the photographs are already with the Authentication User Agencies (AUAs), the process of facial recognition is sure to be rollout without any issues.
