The Rajdhani coaches are breaking into special trains in the first phase when train services resume in the country. It is expected to start service to Kerala on the 13th. All special trains will depart from New Delhi. The New Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram special train will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays and Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. It is learned that the first train from Delhi will operate on 13 and the first train from Thiruvananthapuram will start service on June 15.
Stops will also be reduced significantly to facilitate passenger health checks. The Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi service will have stops only at Kota, Vadodara, Panvel, Madgaon, Mangalore, Kozhikode and Ernakulam. Special trains are available from Howrah, Rajendra Nagar, Dibrugarh, Jammu, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Madgaon and Secunderabad. Trained in different parts of North India, travelers can travel to Delhi by train from here.
Special trains will be charged at the Rajdhani rate. There will be no Tatkal, Premium Tatkal and Current Reservation facilities. Booking is available only through the IRCTC website. There will be no sales through agents and counters. Inspections at stations only allow people with no Covid symptoms to travel. Those who do not have conform ticket will not be admitted to the station. Mask is a must.
Blankets and blankets will not be supplied on special trains, though AC coaches will reduce the cold. The Railways has announced that the final timings of trains will be released soon. Bookings on the IRCTC site will begin today at 4 pm. Non-stop specialties will continue to be requested by states.
