Toyota to To Develop Mid Size SUV For India on Raize platform

The mid-size SUV and compact SUV segment is the newest and fastest growing vehicle segment in India. It is reported that Toyota, which has not yet been rolled out to this range, is going to line up one more SUV.

It has been rumored that the crossover version of Toyota’s popular sedan Yaris and Corolla will be launched. Toyota is also considering a mid-size SUV. The vehicle will be based on Toyota’s Raize platform.

SUVs are more profitable than other types of vehicles. The huge losses following the Covid  19 range have forced Toyota to focus on building SUVs rather than other range vehicles.

The new SUV will be based on the TNGA-B platform that forms the basis for Toyota’s recently launched Reiss SUV. It will be available in the mid-size SUV range of 4.3 meters. It is also rumored that the Toyota-Suzuki alliance will be built.

This vehicle will compete with the strongest competitors. The rivals are Jeep Renegade, Volkswagen T-Cross, Volkswagen Nivos, Nissan Kicks, Kia Celto’s and Hyundai Creta. Further details about this vehicle are expected to be revealed soon.
