Apple has brought a new feature to the upcoming update iOS 11.4. The update brings quite a number of features to OS, with the major one being the ‘USB Restricted Mode’. The mode will prevent data being transferred via the Lightning port for a period of seven days, for locked devices. After this, users could unlock the device using any kind of methods – Touch ID, Face ID, or even password methods. During the period, the ‘Lightening Port’ would automatically be switched to charge only mode.

First seen in iOS 11.3, the beta version of ‘USB Restricted Mode’ however, was visibly appeared in iOS 11.4 Beta. The update would bring the feature to both iPhone and iPad devices.
