Kollam: Parents who tried to commit suicide after their daughter left with her boyfriend died. Bindu (47) and her husband Unnikrishna Pillai (55) died at Vijaya Bhavan in Takhava Pavumba South.
Last day, both of them tried to commit suicide by taking too many pills. They were later admitted to the hospital.
But Bindu died on Friday night despite being admitted to the hospital. Unnikrishna Pillai died this morning too. The indication is suicide.
Relatives say that their only daughter tried to commit suicide due to the distress of going with her male friend.
They were found dead inside the house when a relative came to look for them in the evening after they did not pick up the phone. The gate and door of the house were all open.
A suicide note was found near the dead body. The suicide note says not to show his dead body to his daughter. The police registered a case of unnatural death.
