Tanur (Malappuram): In the incident of killing and burying a three-day-old baby, the baby's body was exhumed. Jumailat, the mother who killed the child, was brought to the spot and the body was taken out.
On Thursday morning Tirur Tehsildar, Thanur DYSP. VV The body was taken out in the presence of Benny and forensic experts. The body was buried under a coconut tree in Jumailam's backyard.
On February 26, Jumailath, a native of Ottumpuram, gave birth to a baby boy at Kozhikode Medical College. This was Jumailam's fourth child. After giving birth, the woman returned to her home.
Then last day, the woman killed and buried the three-day-old baby. After receiving a tip-off that the woman had killed the baby, the police started an investigation.
After Jumailat was taken into custody and interrogated, the accused confessed. Jumailam's statement is that the baby was drowned in bucket water. After this it was buried in the backyard.
The woman has also testified that her mother, who was at home, was sleeping.
Jumailat and her husband have been separated for a few months.
The primary indication is that the child was born again and the child was killed fearing the dishonor that would come out of it.
