Kochi: The maradu flats will be demolished on January 11,12. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary at Kochi. Chief Secretary Tom Jose said the demolition of the flat was extended to January due to technical reasons.
At the same time, it will be decided in the coming days how many explosives will be needed to break down the maradu flats.
On the first day, on January 11, the Alpha Serene and Holyfath H2O flats will be detonated in a controlled explosion. The next day, Jain Koralkov and the Golden Lake Flat complex will be demolished. Meanwhile, the meeting on Monday also agreed to inform the Supreme Court about the delay in demolition of flats.
The Chief Secretary said that the people would take special care to avoid any inconvenience.
