CHENNAI: More than 57 people have been diagnosed with the disease in a single day yesterday. Of those who were diagnosed with the disease yesterday, 50 were attending the Tabligh Jamaat Asian Conference in Nizamuddin, Delhi. The other 7 were in contact with patients. Among them, a resident of Thiruvananthapuram, a resident of Porichellur, Chennai, was diagnosed with the disease yesterday. Another is a native of Thiruvannamalai, who worked in Chennai. He was treated at the Thiruvannamalai Hospital. With this, 16 districts of Tamil Nadu have been affected by Covid.

Of those who were diagnosed with the disease yesterday, all were present on the contact list except those attending the Delhi conference. A relative of Pazizhalloor, who works in Thiruvananthapuram, had earlier been diagnosed with the disease. It was through contact with him. The 28-year-old, who was diagnosed with the disease at Thiruvannamalai, is an employee of a mall in Velachery. An employee of the same mall, Ariyalur, had earlier been diagnosed with the disease. He is a resident of Thiruvannamalai.
Nizamuddin Relationships 75 !
Of the 124 Kovid confirmed so far in the state, 75 are attending or in contact with the Tabligh Jamaat Asian Conference in Nizamuddin. Three persons belonging to this category were diagnosed with Villupuram and 2 from Madurai. Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Namakkal and Thoothukudi districts confirmed the illness yesterday. The government has received information that 1136 persons from across the state attended the meeting. Of these, 581 have already been identified. Steps are being taken to quarantine others who have come in contact with them.
The Nizamuddin mosque was visited by 54 Karnataka residents
Health Minister B Sreeramulu said that 54 people from Karnataka, including the deceased Tumakuru Zira (60), visited the Delhi Nizamuddin Jamaat Mosque at the Tabligh conference. The minister tweeted that he visited the mosque on dates from 10 am. 26 are from Bidar. Of these, 13 are under special surveillance. The Department of Health said it was continuing efforts to find others and quarantine it. The Sira native, who died on the 27th, was returning from Delhi by train at 11am and reached Yeshwanthapuram station on the 14th. The Karnataka RTC bus then proceeded to Zira.
