Supreme Court Dismissed a petition by Nirbhaya case convict Mukesh

One of the Nirbhaya case convicts, Mukesh, had sought restoration of legal remedies against his death sentence . The 4 convicts are sentenced to be hanged on 20th March. The petition said: “Petitioner (Mukesh) is victim of criminal conspiracy and fraud played and hatched jointly by the R-1 (Ministry of Home Affairs), R-2 (Delhi government) and R-3 (Vrinda Grover) and other advocate who appeared in the Sessions Court, High Court and the Supreme Court in the petitioner’s death warrant case.”

However , a Bench led by Justice Arun Mishra refused to accept the plea and dismissed it  saying it was not maintainable. Mr. Sharma was finally forced to withdraw the case.

Earlier, a top court had dismissed the review plea pot forth by Mukesh. His curative and mercy pleas were together rejected by President Ram Nath Kovind and the court .
