Kerala, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are the states where elections are to be held next year. At present, the three states are ruled by the Communist Party (Marxist), the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the Trinamool Congress. But the BJP is preparing for a strong incursion here. Khushboo, one of the national faces of the Congress party, left the Congress yesterday and later joined the BJP. The BJP leadership itself had launched a campaign on social media saying that more people would join the BJP in the coming days. Following this, rumors are circulating on social media that superstar Vijay’s father SA Chandrasekhar will join the BJP. It is no secret that he is currently a member of any party or close to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party.
However, reports say that SA Chandrasekhar has said that there is no basis for rumors of him joining the BJP. But it has not been confirmed whether this is an official response.
Vijay starrer Mersal was widely attacked. Earlier, the BJP and other similar organizations had protested against the film, alleging that it contained scenes and dialogues that offended religious sentiments. That is why Tamil Nadu is looking into whether Vijay’s father Chandrasekhar will join the party now.
