The increasing influence of Social media on public, has prompted Telangana govt. to bring social media accounts for its police stations. State DGP M Mahender Reddy has announced that the department would take all the necessary steps to bring the 800 police stations in the state to make their presence felt in the social media corners by opening up facebook and twitter accounts.
The police stations are going to have reception desks and grievance redressal and petition management systems. Well, the state police department is also going to extend its hands in the digital world by launching an app called TSCOP, while extending the usage of the app, HawkEye.
