Father of Devu (Chandana) – who became immensely popular in social media with her dance moves during festival seasons – was found dead. B. Chandrababu (38) was found hanging on a tree behind SAT, Thiruvananthapuram. His daughter Devu has been suffering from cell damage and has been undertaking treatment from SAT. A painter by profession, it is believed that the persistent condition of Devu seems to have led Chandrababu to suicide.
It was a week ago that Devu was shifted to SAT from Adoor General Hospital. The nine year old girl was accompanied by Chandrababu and his wife Rajitha. Devu became popular with her energetic dance during the festival at the Nuranadu Puthenvila temple. Later the videos of her dance have gone viral in social media spaces. Soon then, she received chances to appear in a channel program in 2019.
Reportedly, Devu’s family has been suffering from financial issues, as they could not afford the cost of treatment of her. Several good Samaritans have so far, have come forward and expressed their willingness to help the ailing family.
