Snapchat has started making use of the unskippable ads in its platform. The ads, which are of six seconds in duration, are mainly comprised of TV commercial ads. It also includes promos of Hollywood movies as well as smartphones. The ads, as of now, only makes their presence felt in professionally produces Shows in Snapchat’s Discover section. Close sources suggest that Snapchat is not considering about introducing the ads to the posts of Friends.
The move is meant to appease the unhappy advertisers, whose ads were seen by users on an average of 2 seconds. While these unskippable ads are on a test phase now, Snapchat would soon make function in a fully fledged mode.
