Babita Babi is a well-known star through social media. Babita is now talking about her journey through Josh Talk. “I work in railways. My dream was to become a dancer. But there was no such situation at home. Nothing was too smart to learn. My whole family hated me when I had a love affair that led to marriage. They could not accept it at all. By the time he was 21, he had two children. My husband was physically harassing me every day. When I went out to look after the children and work at home, I was insulted by people and lack of support from my family. I came to the decision to get a government job as a way to escape because I could no longer live with that beating and thumping rather than the way I found for it.
After buying a rank file, I found time to study even though I saw the house work and my husband's beatings. I passed the police test but failed the physical test. Railway exam was written without any hope. All those who hated me began to praise me. I was employed as a track maintainer. It is hard work and you have to work in rain and sun. When we joined, some people came and made us join the union. We had to do more union work than our work. Even the household chores of the leaders started to be done.
Work is in Tamil Nadu. So we government employees started having to stand in the house of the leaders there wearing Kerala sarees and putting saffron and pots on the guests. Seniors and superiors started doing it saying that this is the way here. When the senior officer there called us women to the room, we lodged a complaint. We suffered a lot because of it. All the rights have been withheld without getting a single transfer. I am a single parent and I can't even be with my children and I am still standing there. I started making videos and dancing to find happiness in my life there. From there I turned to my favorite path. I am now getting an income from this. I have now taken a break from that work. All those with me are still there living in hope of something.”
