Serum Institute got permission to make test dose of the Sputnik vaccine

The Serum Institute of India has been given permission to test the Russian Covid vaccine Sputnik. Licensed by the Drug Control General of India (DCGI). The Serum Institute will work in conjunction with the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology in Moscow.

The application was submitted to the Serum Institute DCGI on Thursday. The DCGI Serum Institute was granted permission to manufacture the Sputnik vaccine on four conditions, including the submission of an agreement with the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology to bring in cell bank and virus stock.

Dr. Sputnik, which imports Reddy’s, is currently licensed by six companies to manufacture in India. In addition, the Serum Institute is now licensed. In addition to the cove shield most widely used in India, Serum also won the contract to manufacture the vaccine Covovax, a US company nova vaccine.
