Actress Anu Sithara is the person who wanted a fruit orchard in her backyard and fulfilled it. When the new house was set up in Wayanad, Anu Sithara and her husband Vishnu Prasad took care of planting many fruit saplings in the spacious yard. Orange, Supporta, Lubi, Amber, Rambutan, Grape, Lemon, Flour, Sour, Mulberry, Champa and Muringa are mainly grown in front of the house. Anu Sithara says that some varieties have been harvested.
Watermelon also grows in the backyard. It germinates spontaneously from the seeds of the eaten watermelon. Now it has begun to bear fruit. Vegetables such as groundnuts, spinach, and pulses are also grown here.
