This has come as a blow for the movie buffs in the state, who were waiting to see a mass entertainer in theatres, after a long time. Makers of Megastar Mammootty’s ‘The Priest’ have taken social media spaces to inform that they have postponed the release date of the project. The movie, which was planned to hit big screens on March 4th, now has been postponed. While taking the social media corners, makers of the movie maintained that the situations are adverse for releasing the movie. With the government not sanctioning the second show and several countries yet to open theatres, releasing the movie on March 4th, wasn’t a feasible option for the makers.

The movie, which had released its second teaser recently, has been the talk of the town and the hype surrounding the project, suggested that Kerala theatres would see a proper houseful show after a long time. Starring Manju Warrier, Nikhila Vimal, and Saniya Iyappan in other important roles, ‘The Priest’ is been directed by Jofin Chacko. It is a joint production venture between Anto Joseph, Unnikrishnan B, and VN Babu.
