RS Vimal has started rolling his next directorial ‘Mahavir Karna’, starring Chiyaan Vikram. The movie, which was planned to have Prithviraj appearing as Karnan, however had some casting changes, as Prithviraj walked out and was replaced by Vikram. RS Vimal while speaking about the shooting of the movie, stated that the first schedule happened to be one of the most important portions of the entire project – Kurukshetra war. Having built a huge set for the war, ‘Mahavir Karna’ is bankrolled by ‘United Film Kingdom’ for an amount of close to INR 300 Cr.
That said, we are yet to get a picture of the complete list of cast members of ‘Mahavir Karna’. Sources suggest that Suresh Gopi would enact the role of Duryodhana in the film. Anyhow, director RS Vimal made it clear that, he would soon unveil the rest of the cast members. ‘Mahavir Karna’, which boasts a sound technical team including the ones that have worked for ‘Game of Thrones’, going in line with the insider reports, would present a visual extravaganza.
