Successor to the Redmi 4A, Xiaomi’s latest outing – Redmi 5A has turned out to be extremely successful for the company. The market analysis conducted by a global technology industry analyst firm, Counterpoint Research, has placed Redmi 5A at the third place in the list of the best selling smartphones of March 2018, globally. By grabbing as much as 1.8% market share, Redmi 5A came behind two devices from Apple – iPhone X and iPhone 8 Place – both respectively claiming 3.5% and 2.3% of the market.
It has to be noted that Redmi 5A was the best selling Android Smartphone in March 2018. Closely following Redmi 5A, comes Oppo A83, while the flagship devices from Samsung – Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ trailed at 5th and 6th place respectively.
