Sharp Electronics announced the launch of IG-GC2, portable car purifier. Equipped with ‘Plasmacluster Technology’, theIG-GC2 said to be capable of dispatching ions – be it positive or negative – inside the car. The technology, which enables the device to combat the poor air quality in major cities of India, comes along with a washable PM10 filter. The filter helps the device in blocking the dust particles entering the car through AC filter. The approximate capacity of the device is 3.6m3, for conditions in which you are in high density situations. In Turbo/Medium/Low operating modes, IG-GC2 is reported to have an ion density of 75,000/25,000/7,000 ions/cm3.
Priced at INR 12,000, IG-GC2 boasts a life term of 19000 hours or that of 10 years without any additional maintenance charge. The device has got a 2 port USB car adapter, and it weighs for approximately 265g. Sharp has made the device available in two colours – Champagne Gold, and Black.
