Pink Ball Test from 1 pm to 8 pm; Because this is it

KOLKATA: The India-Bangladesh Pink Ball Test will start early in the day and end at 8 pm. BCCI is making such a move since the onset of the winter season in states like West Bengal is likely to affect the competition after dusk.

The BCCI has approved the Bengal Cricket Association’s (CAB) request for a pre-match start and end at 8 pm. The CAB’s request was that the match begin at 1 pm and end at 8 pm. Pink Bowl Test between India and Bangladesh from November 22-26.

The first session, which starts at 1 pm each day, ends at 3 pm. The second session is from 3:40 to 5:40 p.m. The third session will take place from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Eden Gardens curator Suzanne Mukherjee had earlier demanded that the match be started early in the year due to snowfall in Kolkata. Due to the snowfall after dusk, pitch and ground moisture are likely to affect the competition. Water bowling can be difficult for Indian bowlers too.

At the same time, the CAB is also working to ensure that the humidity does not affect the competition. There are also special sprays to prevent moisture in the grass.
