Actor-director Radhakrishnan Parthiban’s ‘Iravin Nizhal’, which will hit screens on July 15, has bagged three awards and two nominations at the global level. It is the ‘World’s first single-shot non-linear film’.
Out of the three awards, two have been for the film’s cinematographer Arthur A Wilson and one of the film itself. Wilson has won Best Cinematography awards at the Cult Movies International film Festival and Oniros Film Awards – New York, while the film has won at the Medusa Film Festival.
The film is also an official selection in two film awards events — New York International Film Awards and Rome International Movie Awards.
Oscar-winning sound designer Craig Mann of Whiplash fame has done the sound design of this film while another Academy Award winner Cottalango Leon is its VFX supervisor.
Iravin Nizhal is about a 50-year-old man looking back on his life, and showcases the different stages of this person’s life. The team put up 50 sets on a 64-acre ground, with a big budget, to shoot this story in a single shot.
