OnePlus Ace 2 Pro confirmed to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, Aerospace-Grade 3D Cooling

OnePlus recently confirmed the launch of a new smartphone in China. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is expected to make its debut in China sometime next month.

Now, ahead of its launch, Liu Fengshuo, President of the OnePlus Products Line, has confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which confirms the device will offer flagship performance.

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro: What we know so far

OnePlus also confirmed that the Ace 2 Pro will be the first smartphone to use an aerospace-grade 3D cooling system with a total area of 9,140 sq. mm. According to OnePlus, the new cooling material will deliver improved thermal conductivity compared to traditional cooling.

OnePlus shared a demo of the upcoming smartphone with the new technology. The OnePlus device with the new aerospace-grade 3D cooling had a temperature of 8.5°C compared to 12.8°C on the regular smartphone.

As of now, other details about the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro are unknown, although it is speculated that the device will make its global debut as the OnePlus 12R. It is worth noting that the OnePlus Ace 2 was rebranded as the OnePlus 11R in global markets.

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Specifications (Expected)

According to past leaks, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro could feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is expected to come with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Moreover, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will likely pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 150W fast charging support. Lastly, reports suggests that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will feature a 50 MP Sony IMX890 sensor at the helm of its triple-camera setup.
