Nivin Pauly, Manju Warrier, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Film Critics Awards Announced

The Kerala Film Critics Award is one of the most prestigious awards after the Kerala State Film Awards. This is because the awards are given by a committee that evaluates the jury after inviting applications.

The forty-fourth edition of this award has now been announced. Jellybean, which was released in the year 2019, was selected as the best film. The film is directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery.

Chosen as Deepu Mohanlal’s Best Director. The award is for directing the film Moothon. Nivin Pauly won the Best Actor award for his performance in Mutton. Manju Warrier was adjudged the Best Actress for her performance in Prathi Poovankozhi.

The awards were announced by Dr. George Onakkoor. He was president of the association and chairman of the jury. Only 40 films were considered. From this, the jury evaluated the best performances.

Director Hariharan will be given the award for his comprehensive contribution in Malayalam cinema. Critics will give the Ruby Jubilee Award to Malayalam megastar Mammootty, who has been in Malayalam cinema for 40 years.

He was the cinematographer for the films Oru Maravathoor Kanavu and Kilukkam. Kumar, director and art director Nemam Pushparaj, actress Sethulakshmi and Nana magazine photographer Kollam Mohanan will be given the Film Talent Award.
