Nissan Motors Co will launch a new version of the ‘all electric vehicle Leaf’ in seven key markets in Asia Pacific. The lower emission vehicle is going to be launched in the following markets – Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. Though Nissan hasn’t divulged its future plans, the company however maintained that the launch would take place during the next fiscal year.
Close sources further maintained that Nissan would be brining vehicles based on the ‘e Power’ gasoline hybrid technology to Southeast Asia. Japan’s NO.2 automaker, Nissan aims to introduce more than a dozen of new battery electric and hybrid gasoline electric models during a time period of five years.
