New Interceptor Vehicles for Kerala Motor Vehicle Department

Department of Transportation to lock in traffic law violations. The state-of-the-art motor vehicle department’s sophisticated interceptor vehicles are on the line to detect road traffic violations. The Department of Transportation announced that 17 vehicles will be on the line in the next three weeks. Modern interceptors are manufactured at a cost of around Rs.25 lakh.

The Interceptor is the only vehicle that detects violations by the camera without interrupting all vehicles. The vehicle will be equipped with an aerometer, including alchemist. If drunk, the vehicle will be printed and the quantity of blood and alcohol will be handed over to the officials. This can be used later in court as evidence.

The vehicle will also have radar up to one and a half kilometers, a 180-degree wide-angle video camera, and a light meter that measures the headlight’s light intensity. In addition, vehicles that do not stop after seeing the Interceptor will be listed. The Department of Transport has announced that the Interceptor will be purchased as part of the Safe Kerala project
