My vote will be for the person who can lead us and preserve democracy. Tovino urged everyone to vote, including the youth, who never missed an opportunity to vote after being enfranchised.

State Chief Electoral Officer Sanjay Kaul, who presided over the function, said that National Consent Day is celebrated to convey the importance of voting to the people. Low voter turnout among youth is a big challenge. 60-65% of the country’s population is below 35 years of age. The future of democracy is in the hands of the youth. The video of Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar’s national consent message was shown at the ceremony. Tovino Thomas administered the National Consent Pledge. The award for the best District Election Officers was distributed at the function. Thrissur District Collector Krishna Teja, Malappuram District Collector V. R Vinod and Kozhikode District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh received the award.
