Music director Paris Chandran passes away

Music director Chandran Veyattummal, popularly known as Paris Chandran, passed away. He was 66.

He had rendered music for the songs in the films like ‘Njan Steve Lopez’, Drishtantham, Chayilyam, Bombay Mittayi, Nagaram, Bioscope and Eeda. Chandran had also composed music for the radio drama ‘The Monsoon’ of BBC in 1988.

Chandran was awarded the Kerala State Award for the best background music for the film ‘Bioscope’, in 2008. In 2010, he bagged the Kerala State Television Award for the telefilm ‘Pranayathil Oruval’.

He is survived by his wife Shailaja and children Anand and Aayush.
